When we often think of the Nativity Scene, we imagine a beautifully orchestrated picture of the shepherds, wise men, and barn animals all surrounding Mary and Joseph next to Jesus in a manger. The nativity scene that maybe your grandmother has displayed on her fireplace may have been much different than reality. Deep within the story of Jesus's birth, we can discover that there were many more ugly struggles to reach a newborn baby in the middle of nowhere by just following a star.
