As Christ followers, we carry thousands of years of history as evidence that we are the people that God desires to prosper. In Acts 13, as Paul is teaching in the synagogue to Jews on the sabbath day, he reminds them of their history and how after David, there would come a savior. In verse 32 he says, "What God promised our ancestors, He has fulfilled for us, their children, by raising up Jesus."

This week at Zion, Pastor Brandon Block reminds us of the blessing that covers us because of the trail of history that follows us. We don't just walk in God's protection, peace, and provision because of our own success in life, but we can't help but be blessed because God wrote a story over thousands of years that proves that God's promises are true.
